Musical 'A Fairy and Dolls' by World Vision Children's Choir

This stage was my debut work as a stage designer. It was quite a challenge to manage small budget with large scale stage.
However, as the musical theme ‘Dream come true with faith’. I believed I can do this. We all believed who anticipated in this
musical. It was a successful performance. The stage presented beautifully after so many sleepless nights.

Tartuffe by Molière, Lee Hae-rang Art Theatre

I was very happy to design this Moliere’s most famous story, Tartuffe. Tartuffe is one of timeless plays that can be adapted to
virtually any society in any era because its central theme, hypocrisy, is perennially relevant. There is so many things I would like
to express but I decided temperate way. It’s more sophisticate and gives spaces to audience for imagination about this classic
play. It was not easy to drop and cut off many lines, colours and settings. I had to very careful about what I chose. Everything
has concentrated reason on this stage. Just like Moliere’s intend.

          Less is more.

A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare, Arco Art Centre Main Hall

A Midsummer Night’s Dream can be a light fantasy with a dark nightmare and a jesting comedy with a semi-serious
melodrama. For the stage, I try to contain these kinds of feelings form the synopsis. It presented on the big screen with a new
look of modernize atmosphere and contemporary settings for movements.

Macbeth by William Shakespeare, Seoul Art Centre Opera House

When I design this Shakespeare's play, Macbeth, I tried to focus on darkness and night play as major role. Many deaths and
other major events occur on this stage. Macbeth is overwhelmed by power and feels he is unstoppable. There is something
about the absence of light that makes actors look different. The main character Macbeth fell into this category and sees he is
not the same man he usually is during the day. Strong and aggressive way on the stage as it is expressed. Macbeth is at his
best and his worse during this time period, so I put his darkness and guilty disorder surrounding the light effects. The skeleton
with black lights expressing the life of Macbeth and his wife dramatically. It revolves around in the darkness.
